Week 9: Learning Docker, Terminal Tweaks & Saveread Updates
Last January marked 12 years since I stepped into development. And to be honest? I’ve mostly been sailing my career ship using what I learnt during my early years. But with AI shaking things up, I realized I’d be in a vulnerable spot if I kept coasting without learning something new.
A while back, I mentioned picking up PostgreSQL because my office project required it. Well, now that it’s no longer needed, I decided to finally check off something that’s been on my learning wishlist for ages—Docker. Yep, I know I’m late to the party, but hey, better late than never!
I did a quick crash course on Docker from Code with Mosh and got a solid grasp of the basics. So far, it’s all been theoretical, but I plan to put it to use this month and beyond.
Autocomplete for Oh My Zsh
On a side note, I also added autocomplete to my Oh My Zsh terminal. Now, I don’t have to memorize every single command—development just got a whole lot faster! If you want to set it up too, check out the steps here.
Saveread Update
Big news! Last week, we rolled out monthly pricing for Saveread. Now, you can access all the premium features for just $5.99/month.
But hey, if you love Saveread and want to save more, I’d suggest going for the annual plan—you’ll save up to $12 in the long run! 🎉
