Week 5: Road to Recovery
I clearly underestimated how much breaking a routine can mess things up. Since the start of the year, I was sticking to my well-disciplined routine—until the Kolli Hills trip came along and derailed everything.
Even a week after the trip, I felt like a drained phone that refuses to charge properly. On top of that, my food intake skyrocketed—maybe my body was in "compensation mode" for those two intense days of adventure. The result? A whopping 4 kg weight gain in just two weeks! That’s practically a personal record (not the good kind).
Despite sleeping 9-10 hours a night for almost a week, I still felt exhausted, unmotivated, and completely uninterested in stepping inside a gym. That’s when I decided to hit pause—rest for an entire week, focus only on work and kids, and avoid anything that drains me mentally or physically.
Fingers crossed, I should be back to normal next week. Or at least, that’s the plan! 🤞😅
