Becoming a Parent

Recently, my wife and I welcomed our beloved son into this world. No words can express the joy I had the moment I heard his first cry upon arrival. I will cherish the moment when I saw him for the first time, staring at me with those cute little eyes bundled in a white cloth. Though my wife keeps telling me how much he looks like me, I reckon he resembles her more than me.

From the day he had born, it has been a roller coaster ride for us, starting from constant nurturing, changing diapers, singing lullabies, and patting him to sleep. We have become sleep-deprived, that we are yet to sleep for 3 hours straight, let alone 8 hours. Parenthood is entirely new to us, and we were like wait da, I was not ready da! I strongly presume he is just warming us up, and we have to level up our game when he turns 1-year old :D

Becoming a parent and behaving like one is not something you can pick up in a day. It is a lifetime process, and I believe we will mature more as we age with our son.

We couldn’t wait to see him grow and become what he likes before our eyes. We wanted to make beautiful memories with him. After all, now we are just here to be memories for our kids.

Once you’re a parent, you’re the ghost of your children’s future.

Stay healthy. Stay happy.
